LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 11-4 overall and 6-0 in the ODAC with a 32-30, 30-19, 30-26 win at Lynchburg College on Tuesday evening.

Senior outside hitter Ashley Hurt (Altamonte Springs, Fla./Trinity Prep) posted a team-high 11 kills, while freshman middle blocker Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) totaled seven kills and eight blocks. Junior right side Jess Hudock (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) also tallied seven kills and nine digs and sophomores Jessica Ulrich (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) and Laura Maurer (Sparta, N.J./Pope John XXIII) notched seven kills as well. Urlich added six blocks, while Maurer also registered 10 digs. Junior setter Lauren Rudolph (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) notched 22 assists and four aces and senior libero Lauren Edmonson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) amassed a team-best 21 digs.

With the loss, Lynchburg fell to 7-11 overall and 3-4 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts Ferrum College for a 7:00 pm contest.
