W&L Volleyball Downs Eastern Mennonite, 3-0

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team earned its ninth-straight 20-win season with a 30-20, 30-17, 30-24 win over Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.

The Generals (20-6, 8-0) were paced by senior outside hitter Ashley Hurt (Altamonte Springs, Fla./Trinity Prep), who tallied 10 kills and seven digs. Sophomore middle blocker Kassie Bagley (Midlothian, Va./James River) notched 10 kills and two blocks, while senior libero Lauren Edmonson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) amassed a team-best 23 digs. Freshman setter Megan Steinhardt (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park) racked up a team-high 14 assists and seven digs.

The loss dropped Eastern Mennonite to 5-19 overall and 1-7 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Washington and Lee, which upped its regular season ODAC winning streak to 60-straight matches, returns to action on Saturday as it travels to Bridgewater College for an 11:00 am contest.
