BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Guard Marsha Kinder scored 23 points to help lead Bridgewater College to a 71-46 win over Washington and Lee in ODAC women's basketball action on Wednesday evening in Bridgewater, Va.
The Eagles (11-4, 9-1) forced 32 W&L turnovers and limited the Generals to just 34.0 percent shooting from the floor.
An 11-4 run by Bridgewater pushed a 10-point (32-22) halftime lead out to 17 points (43-26) with 15:29 remaining in the game, but the Generals fought back to slice the advantage to just nine points (51-42) with 10 minutes remaining. However, the Eagles would outscore W&L 20-4 the rest of the way for the 25-point victory.
W&L (4-11, 3-9) was led by freshman forward Kara Nadeau (Oak Hill, Va./Oakton), who tallied a career-high 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Senior guard Louisa Feve (Bethesda, Md./Winston Churchill) added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Kinder was joined in double figures by forward Amy Childs, who totaled 13 points and grabbed five rebounds.
W&L returns to the court on Tuesday as it hosts Emory & Henry for a 7:00 pm contest.
