W&L Men's Soccer Falls To Mary Washington, 1-0

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Mary Washington sophomore forward Yusuf Harden scored off an assist from freshman midfielder Tommy DiNuzzo with 46 seconds remaining to lift the Eagles to a 1-0 win over Washington and Lee in men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.

The two teams combined for just 14 shots and three corner kicks in the contest. The win improved Mary Washington to 4-4-2 overall, while the Generals fell to 4-3 overall.

Sophomore Ted Sheedy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) played all 90 minutes in goal for W&L, recording four saves. Freshman Joe Young also played the entire game in goal for the Eagles, registering two stops, including one W&L chance from point-blank range.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it travels to 17th-ranked Randolph-Macon for a 3:00 pm contest.
