BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Sophomore midfielder Nathanael Knopp scored with 47 seconds remaining in the second overtime period to give the Bridgewater men's soccer team a 3-2 victory over Washington and Lee on Saturday afternoon in Bridgewater, Va.
After a scoreless first half, the Generals (2-2, 0-1) got on the scoreboard when senior defender Derrick Lott (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) scored on a penalty kick at 51:12. Just over three minutes later, the Eagles (4-3, 1-0) tied the score when freshman forward Chris Thomas scored off a feed from sophomore forward Ben Ostrander.
