LEXINGTON, Va. -- Sophomore forward Jack Palmer (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) scored an unassisted goal 4:46 into the second overtime period to give the Washington and Lee men's soccer team a 3-2 victory over Catholic University on Sunday afternoon at Watt Field.

The Cardinals (1-3-1) jumped on the scoreboard at the 18:53 mark on an unassisted goal by senior midfielder Bryan Seifarth (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg). The Generals (2-0) then tied the game at 1-1 at 24:07 when sophomore midfielder Josh Dodds (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) scored off a feed from junior midfielder Kyle Garcia (Atlanta, Ga./Westminster).
