LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team played its fifth double-overtime game of the season and came away with a 1-1 tie against ODAC-foe Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday afternoon at Watt Field.

The Royals (6-6-2, 2-3-1) scored at the 34:38 mark to take a 1-0 lead when sophomore forward Jared Byler (Belleville, Pa./Indian Valley) took a pass from senior midfielder Adam Shank (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite) and buried his shot into the back of the Generals' net.

The score remained 1-0 until W&L (5-4-2, 3-1-2) tied the game at 1-1 when sophomore forward Jack Palmer (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) scored off a feed from sophomore midfielder Josh Dodds (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) at 68:10. Both teams fired off two shots in the overtime periods, but couldn't score the game-winner.

EMU outshot the Generals, 15-14, and held a 10-6 advantage in corner kicks.
