The Eagles then took a 62-59 lead on Hermes' three-point play.

The Generals had one last chance to tie the game, but a three-pointer by junior guard Louisa Feve (Bethesda, Md./Winston Churchill) fell short at the buzzer.
Hunsinger led W&L with 15 points, eight rebounds and a game-high three blocks, while Krouchick had 14 points and a career-high nine rebounds. Senior guard Bethany Dannelly (Raleigh, N.C./William G. Enloe) finished with a season-high 12 points, five assists and a game-high four steals.
