LEXINGTON, Va. -- Senior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) totaled 14 kills and seven digs to lead the Washington and Lee volleyball team past Southern Virginia, 30-26, 30-23, 31-29, on Thursday evening at the Warner Center.

The Generals (9-4) also received strong efforts from juniors middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) with 11 kills and senior libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) with 11 digs. Junior setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) tallied 31 assists and 10 digs.

With the loss, Southern Virginia fell to 12-3 overall.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it hosts Eastern Mennonite (11:00 am) and Lynchburg (4:00 pm).
