LEXINGTON, Va. -- Ursinus captured six individual titles as the Bears won the 2004 Centennial Conference (CC) Wrestling Championships, hosted by Washington and Lee on Saturday at the Warner Center.

Ursinus scored 109 points on the day to take top honors, while McDaniel College (76) edged Johns Hopkins (72) for second place. Gettysburg (55) took fourth, Muhlenberg (47.5) took fifth and Washington and Lee (0) placed sixth.

Junior 157-pounder Scott Roesch (Ursinus) was named the 2003 Most Outstanding Wrestler, while senior heavyweight Karol Gryczynski (Johns Hopkins) earned the Chris Clifford Memorial Award for the most career CC tournament points.

Senior 149-pounder Corey Little (Charlotte, N.C./Independence) advanced to the consolation semi-finals for the Generals before falling to eventual third-place finisher, junior Tom Fives (Gettysburg), 4-2. Junior 165-pounder Walt Hoyt (Marietta, Ga./George Walton) also advanced to the consolation semi-finals for W&L before falling to eventual third-place finisher, Joe Selba of Johns Hopkins (1:18).
