LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team claimed its seventh-straight 20-win season with a 30-6, 30-3, 30-10 win over Sweet Briar on Wednesday evening at the Warner Center.
The win was also W&L's (20-4, 10-0) 15th-straight this season and 41st consecutive ODAC victory.
The Generals were led by freshman outside hitter Shaun Edwards (Roanoke, Va./North Cross), who tallied nine kills and six digs. Freshman outside hitter Jessica Hudock (Tampa, Fla./Academy of the Holy Names) totaled seven kills, while sophomore outside hitter Virginia Baird (Houston, Texas/Lamar) notched six kills, four digs and five service aces. Freshman setter Lauren Rudolph (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) added 19 assists, nine digs and eight service aces.
With the loss, Sweet Briar fell to 0-13 overall, 0-10 in the ODAC.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it takes on Messiah (1:30 pm) and Marymount (3:30 pm) in Arlington, Va.
