W&L Volleyball Downs Randolph-Macon Woman's, 3-0

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Junior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) totaled 11 kills and six digs to lead Washington and Lee past Randolph-Macon Woman's College, 30-23, 30-15, 30-25 in ODAC volleyball action on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.

The win improved W&L to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the ODAC, tying a record for the best start in school history. It also marked W&L's 24th straight regular season ODAC victory.

Sophomore middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) supplimented Wolfing's effort with nine kills and four blocks, while freshman libero Lauren Edmonson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) notched 11 digs. Sophomore setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 35 assists and 10 digs.
With the loss, RMWC fell to 4-7 overall, 1-2 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Friday as it travels to Atlanta, Ga., to participate in the Emory Classic. W&L plays Transylvania (11:30 am) and Maryville (2:00 pm) in the first day's action.
