LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team defeated Eastern Mennonite, 3-0, in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action on Saturday to stay perfect on the season with a 7-0 overall record and a 3-0 ODAC mark. The Generals defeated the Royals with game scores of 30-20, 30-15 and 30-21.

Junior outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) recorded 16 kills and nine digs and sophomore right side Laura Byrne (Springfield, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) added seven kills and 10 digs. Sophomore setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) had 24 assists and 10 digs.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Friday, Sept. 16 when the Generals travel to the Emory Classic. Washington & Lee takes on Transylvania at 11:30 a.m., and Maryville at 2:00 p.m.
