LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 6-0 overall, 2-0 in the ODAC with a 30-18, 30-19, 30-21 win over Emory & Henry on Thursday evening at the Warner Center. The win was W&L's 22nd consecutive regular-season ODAC victory.
The Generals were led by junior outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep), who totaled 14 kills and eight digs. Sophomore outside hitter Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) notched 10 kills, while junior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) tallied nine kills and nine digs. Sophomore setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) amassed 43 assists and nine digs.
The loss dropped Emory & Henry to 5-4 overall, 1-2 in the ODAC.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it hosts Eastern Mennonite for an 11:00 am contest.
