LEXINGTON, Va. -- Freshman goalie Zane Campbell (Frederick, Md./Frederick) made nine stops, including a penalty kick, to help Guilford blank Washington and Lee, 3-0, in ODAC men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior defender T.J. Muse (Reidsville, N.C./Southeast Guilford) scored first for the Quakers (8-7, 3-4) at 6:31, while Ampofo Darko (Kumasi, Ghana/Sandy Spring Friends [Md.]) tallied a pair of late goals to round out the scoring. Senior forward Tim Imafidon (Raleigh, N.C./Wake Forest-Rolesville) and senior defender Steve Chaconas (New Bern, N.C./New Bern) each recorded an assist on a Darko goal.
Junior Christopher Carlson (Santa Monica, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) played all 90 minutes for the Generals (6-4-2, 2-3-2), making three saves.
Washington and Lee outshot Guilford, 22-9, and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Generals return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Bridgewater. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
