NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team posted its 11th-straight win with a 31-29, 30-28, 30-20 victory over Christopher Newport on Thursday evening.
The Generals (21-2) were paced by junior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll), who had 16 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) amassed eight kills and four blocks, while sophomore setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) recorded 34 assists and 10 digs. Junior libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) added 13 digs.
With the loss, the Captains fell to 11-15 overall.
Washington and Lee will return to action on Saturday as it participates in the Marymount Tournament.
