W&L Volleyball Defeats Virginia Wesleyan, 3-0

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 20-2 overall, 8-0 in the ODAC with a 30-22, 30-17, 30-24 win over Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday evening at the Warner Center.

The win marked W&L's sixth-straight 20-win season and was the Generals' 28th consecutive ODAC regular season victory.

Junior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) led the Generals past the Marlins (12-5, 1-4) by totaling 14 kills and 13 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) amassed 14 kills and five blocks, while sophomore setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) recorded 43 assists. Junior libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) added 12 digs.

The Generals return to action on Thursday evening as they travel to Christopher Newport for a 5:30 pm match.
