LEXINGTON, Va. -- Freshman forward Anne Wiltshire (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) and junior forward Maggie Hope (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day) led all scorers with two goals and an assist as the 14th-ranked Washington and Lee women's soccer team defeated Sweet Briar, 10-0, in ODAC action on Saturday afternoon.
The win marked Head Coach Neil Cunningham's 100th career victory. His career record stands at 100-36-11.
Washington and Lee (10-0-1, 7-0-0) received goals from eight different players. Freshman midfielder Sarah Helms (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) scored a goal and added two assists, while sophomore defender Conner Esworthy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) scored a goal and added an assist.
Junior Emily Barker (Clifton, Va./Mount Vernon) started in goal for the Generals while freshman Emily Binns (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) took over net-minding duties in the second half.
Sweet Briar freshman goalie Vicky Gadikian (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier) made 13 saves across 90 minutes.
The Generals return to action on Wed., Oct. 16 when they host Virginia Wesleyan. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
