SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team moved to 16-2 overall on the season with a pair of wins in the Savannah Art & Design Invitational. W&L defeated Roanoke, 30-24, 30-24, 30-24, and then downed Peace College, 30-7, 30-21, 30-20.

Against the Maroons, W&L was paced by junior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll), who totaled 16 kills and 17 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) notched 12 kills and two blocks, while sophomore middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) recorded eight kills and five blocks. Sophomore setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) amassed 48 assists and 12 digs.

Against Peace, the Generals were led by freshman middle blocker Ashley Hurt's (Altamonte Springs, Fla./Trinity Prep) 11-kill, seven-dig performance. Junior outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) registered 10 kills and nine digs, while Gladysz amassed 15 assists and five digs.

The Generals continue in the SCAD Invitational on Saturday as they face Guilford at 9:00 am, Southern Virginia at 1:30 pm and Savannah Art & Design at 6:00 pm.
