W&L Men's Soccer Plays To Scoreless Tie With Macon

ASHLAND, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team played to a scoreless tie with Randolph-Macon on Wednesday afternoon in Ashland, Va.

Sophomore Michael Stanton (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Olympia) and junior Christopher Carlson (Santa Monica, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) both played in goal for the Generals (4-0-2, 1-0-2). Stanton started and played 45 minutes, recording three saves. Carlson played the second half and overtime periods (65:00), notching six stops.
Nick Warner covered the goal for the Yellow Jackets (5-2-1, 0-1-1), recording one save.

For the game, Macon held a 15-3 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday evening as it travels to Savannah Art & Design for a 7:00 pm contest.
