SALEM, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team fell, 1-0, to ODAC-opponent Roanoke College Saturday afternoon in Salem, Va.
At the 35:28 mark, Roanoke (7-2, 1-0) scored the game's only goal when David Lechtrecker re-directed JM Monger's crossing pass into the back of the Generals' goal.
Roanoke goaltender Chris Ebeling made the 1-0 lead stand up by making one save as W&L (1-5-1, 0-3) was unable to muster a goal for the third straight game.
The Maroons held advantages of 12-7 and 12-5 in shots and corner kicks.
Senior Tim Foley (Darnestown, Md./Georgetown Prep) played all 90 minutes in the Generals' net, recording three saves.
The Generals (1-5-1, 0-2) will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Emory & Henry for a 4:00 pm match.
