GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team remained winless in the ODAC after falling in its last match to Guilford College, 3-0, Wednesday afternoon in Greensboro, N.C.
Guilford's (5-2-1, 1-0) Tim Imafidon scored an unassisted breakaway goal in the 39th minute to stake the Quakers to a 1-0 lead. In the second half, the Quakers added two more goals when Aran Haven-O'Donnell and Ampofo Darko each found the back of the net.
Guilford held advantages of 20-6 and 11-0 in shots and corner kicks, respectively.
In the W&L goal, senior Tim Foley (Darnestown, Md./Georgetown Prep) made six saves.
Guilford netminder Sean Beach recorded one save to earn the shutout.
The Generals (1-4-1, 0-2) return to the pitch this Saturday for a 3:00 pm match at Roanoke.
