LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team upped its record to 9-1 overall, 2-0 in the ODAC with a 30-14, 30-19, 30-11 win over Hollins on Wednesday evening at the Warner Center.
The win was the 100th in the career of W&L Head Coach Bryan Snyder. Snyder's record now stands at 100-41 (.709) overall, 59-16 (.787) at Washington and Lee.
The Generals were led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) and freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma), who each recorded seven kills. Freshman libero Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) notched eight digs, while sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) added 21 assists.
The loss dropped Hollins to 2-10 overall, 0-2 in the ODAC.
Washington and Lee will be in action again on Saturday as it travels to Eastern Mennonite for a 1:00 pm contest with the Royals.
