W&L Men's Soccer Holds Off Randolph-Macon For 2-0 Win

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team posted its second ODAC win in as many games with a 2-0 victory over Randolph-Macon on Saturday on the Liberty Hall Fields.

Senior midfielder Kevin Bibona (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) staked the Generals to a 1-0 lead when he headed in a cross from senior midfielder Sean Hardin (Atlanta, Ga./Westminster) at the 21:29 mark.

W&L received an insurance goal at 69:50 when freshman defender Roger Morscheiser (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater) outjumped the Yellow Jacket defense to head freshman midfielder Walker Nickles' (Columbia, S.C./A.L. Flora) corner kick into the back of the net.

W&L (3-5-1, 2-3) senior goaltender Tim Foley (Darnestown, Md./Georgetown Prep) made the two goals stand up with his aggressive play in the Generals' net, making one save.

Freshman Taylor Grant (Spotsylvania, Va./Episcopal) relieved injured starter Nick Warner (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) in the Yellow Jacket's (7-3, 2-2) goal. The two combined to turn away one shot.

For the afternoon, the Generals held advantages of 19-5 in shots and 8-1 in corner kicks.

W&L is back in action this Tuesday when it hosts Southern Virginia for a 4:00 pm match.
