W&L Volleyball Defeats Randolph-Macon, 3-0

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team upped its record to 10-1 overall, 2-0 in the ODAC with a 30-19, 30-28, 30-17 win over Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon at the Warner Center.

The Generals were paced by senior middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart), who totaled 10 kills and nine digs. She is just 12 kills from breaking the W&L and ODAC career kills record held by former teammate Nancy Reinhart '00.

Freshman outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) amassed 10 kills, while junior outside hitter Stacey Kimmel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) posted eight aces and five digs. Freshman setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) added 31 assists.

With the loss, Randolph-Macon fell to 8-6 overall, 1-2 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee will be in action again on Tuesday as it travels to Guilford for a 6:30 pm match.
