LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team opened its ODAC schedule with a 30-22, 30-23, 30-15 win over Emory & Henry on Wednesday evening at the Warner Center.

The Generals (9-1, 1-0) were led by senior middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart), who totaled 11 kills and five digs. Junior outside hitter Stacey Kimmel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) notched 10 kills and seven digs, while freshman outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) posted 10 kills, three aces and 10 digs. Freshman setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) recorded a team-high 30 assists.

With the loss, Emory & Henry fell to 6-4 overall, 0-1 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee will be in action again on Saturday as it hosts Randolph-Macon for an 11:00 am match.
