W&L Volleyball Remains Unbeaten in ODAC with 3-1 Win over Lynchburg

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team remained unbeaten in the ODAC with a 30-22, 30-18, 29-31, 30-22 win over Lynchburg on Sunday afternoon at the Warner Center.

The win upped W&L's record to 22-3 overall, 9-0 in the ODAC, while Lynchburg fell to 19-7, 5-3 in the ODAC.

Senior middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart) amassed 19 kills, three aces and nine digs to lead the Generals. Freshman outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) totaled 12 kills and 17 digs, while senior middle blocker Leslie Fischbeck (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) notched 12 kills and four blocks.

Freshman setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) registered 48 assists and 17 digs. With the 48 assists, Lux pushed her season total to 851, breaking the W&L season record of 847 held by Ali Beard since the 1996 season.

Washington and Lee, who has wrapped up the number one seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament, will be in action again on Tuesday as it travels to Hollins University for a 6:30 pm match.
