SAVANNAH, GA. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team had its seven game winning streak snapped as it was defeated by Guilford, 1-0, in Savannah, Ga., on Saturday afternoon.
Guilford (7-7) scored its goal at the 25:00 mark as Tim Imafran scored an unassisted goal.
W&L (8-2-1) outshot Guilford, 10-4, but failed to find the back of the net all afternoon.
W&L junior goalkeeper Tim Foley (Darnestown, Md./Georgetown Prep) made three saves. Guilford goalkeeper Ryan Fitzgibbons made eight key saves to earn the victory.
The Generals return to action when they host Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
