SALEM, Va. -- Freshman setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) amassed 49 assists, 19 digs, six kills and five blocks to lead the Washington and Lee volleyball team to a 30-26, 23-30, 30-25, 30-25 win over Roanoke College on Thursday evening in Salem, Va.
As a team, the Generals (17-3, 7-0) totaled 16 blocks in the contest led by senior middle blocker Leslie Fischbeck (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills), who recorded 11 blocks, one off the school record. She also totaled 14 kills.
Senior middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart) registered 20 kills and 15 digs, while freshman outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) posted 10 kills, 11 digs and five blocks.
With the loss, Roanoke fell to 11-7 overall, 5-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Washington and Lee will return to action on Saturday as it competes in the Goucher College Invitational. The Generals' first match is slated to begin at 11:00 am against Seton Hill College.
