LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Senior guard Chad Braley (Huntington, W.Va./Paul Blazer) tied a season high with 18 points to help lead W&L to its second victory of the season by defeating Lynchburg, 67-54, in ODAC men's hoops action on Saturday afternoon in Lynchburg, Va.
W&L (2-10, 2-5) shot 50 percent (23-of-46) from the floor and connected on all 16 of its free throw attempts. The Generals also placed five players in double-digits for the first time since Jan. 31, 1998, against Guilford.
Sophomore forward Scott Hetterman (Falls Church, Va./Landon School) tallied 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while sophomore guard Will Cotter (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) added 13 points, two assists and two steals. Senior guard Will Ballard (Elkin, N.C./Elkin) and freshman center David Bode (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) also scored in double-digits with 10 points each.
Lynchburg (1-11, 1-5) was led by Dennis Brown, who tallied 18 points.
W&L will return to action tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Hampden-Sydney, Va., to take on Hampden-Sydney at 2:00 pm.
