LEXINGTON, Va. -- Junior forward Andrew Grimes (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) scored both goals to lead Washington and Lee to a 2-0 victory over Randolph-Macon in ODAC men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.
Grimes got W&L on the board at the 12:43 mark with a header off a cross from senior midfielder Jon Wilson (Newport News, Va./Hampton Roads). Grimes then found the net at the 61:31 mark again with a header off a pass from freshman forward Bret Grote (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny). Grimes now leads the Generals with five goals on the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Brad Hearn (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) recorded his first victory by stopping all six shots he faced.
W&L outshot Randolph-Macon 10-8.
W&L returns to action on Wednesday as they host Ferrum College at 4:30 pm.
