ASHLAND, Va.. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team defeated Randolph-Macon, 15-9, 15-10, 15-8, on Tuesday evening in Ashland, Va.

The Generals were led by junior middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart), who totaled 16 kills. Freshman outside hitter Kristin Shelton (Austin, Texas/McCallum) posted 11 kills, while senior setter Pam Saulsbury (Ridgely, Md./North Caroline) notched a team-high 20 assists. Senior setter Katherine Kline (Potomac, Md./Holton-Arms) chipped in with 17 assists as the Generals moved to 9-5 overall, 4-1 in the ODAC.

Randolph-Macon fell to 6-8 overall, 4-2 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee will be in action again on Saturday as it travels to Randolph-Macon Woman's College. The match is slated to begin at 1:00 pm.
