W&L Moves To Semifinals With Double-Overtime Win

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Junior midfielder Kate Bidwell (Pensacola, Fla./Escambia) scored 1:35 into the second overtime off an assist by sophomore forward Ruth-Hill Yielding (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) to give Washington and Lee a 2-1 victory in the quarterfinal round of the ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior fullback Shana Levine (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) notched her first goal of the season at the 48:40 mark to put the Generals on top 1-0.

Eastern Mennonite (11-7) tied the score at the 76:30 mark on a goal by freshman forward Ellie Lind (Durban, South Africa/Three Rivers).

Senior goalkeeper Lauren Harris (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) made four saves for Washington and Lee, while freshman goalkeeper Rochelle Yoder (Normal, Ill./Normal Community West) stopped 14 shots for the Royals.

Washington and Lee (11-5) will travel to Lynchburg, Va., on Friday afternoon to take on Randolph-Macon in the semifinal round of the ODAC Tournament. Game time is set for 3:00 pm.
