LEXINGTON, Va. -- Roanoke College rode a 40-point second half scoring outburst to a come-from-behind 61-59 win over Washington and Lee on Saturday afternoon in the Warner Center.

Junior forward Suzanne Webb (Narrows, Va./Narrows) poured in a game-high 21 points to lead the Maroons to their sixth conference victory against just one loss. Sophomore forward Jill Quesenberry (Willis, Va./Floyd County) was the only other Maroon player in double figures, tallying 12 points.

Washington and Lee senior Ansley Miller (Athens, Ga./Athens Academy) recorded a team-high 16 points. Her first basket of the night catapulted her above the 1,000-point plateau for her career. Miller is only the second General in school-history to reach the milestone.

W&L's inside duo of sophomores Megan Babst (Pittsburgh, Pa/Fox Chapel Area) and Jessica Mentz (Ellicott City, Md/Centennial) each posted double-doubles in the loss. Babst led the Generals on the boards, posting a game-high 16 rebounds to go with her 12 points. Mentz also finished with 12 points. Senior guard Jessica Morton (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) chipped in 16 points, including two three-pointers. The Generals outrebounded the Maroons 43-26, but committed 27 turnovers in the contest.

W&L will return to action on January 11, when it hosts Emory and Henry in a 7:00 pm contest.
