ASHLAND, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team fell to Randolph-Macon, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon in Ashland, Va. The game was originally set to take place on Friday afternoon, but was pushed back due to rain-soaked fields from Hurricane Floyd.
The Generals (1-2, 0-1) assumed a 1-0 lead at the 10:00 mark as sophomore midfielder Paul Wallace (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) scored an unassisted goal.
However, the Yellow Jackets would later assume control of the game, scoring goals in the 40th minute, 53rd minute, and 58th minute.
Freshman goalkeeper Brad Hearn (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) recorded six saves in goal for the Generals.
W&L will return to action on Wednesday as it hosts neighboring Virginia Military Institute in a 4:30 pm contest.
