W&L Defeats Randolph-Macon Women's 3-0 in Volleyball

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Washington and Lee's volleyball team won its seventh-straight match on Wednesday evening by defeating Randolph-Macon Women's College 15-3, 15-4, 15-4 on the road in Lynchburg, Va. It was the Generals' first road match of the season after playing their first eight at home.

The Generals (8-1, 3-0) were paced by junior outside hitter Nancy Reinhart (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart), who recorded seven kills and five digs. Senior middle blocker and ODAC Player of the Week Megan Snodgrass (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) had six kills and nine digs and senior setter Lee Ann Gschwind (Islip, N.Y./Islip) had a team-high 10 assists. The loss dropped RMWC to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee's next matches will be on September 25-26, when the travel to Maryville College to participate in the Maryville Tournament.
