LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Sophomore midfielder Shana Levine (Hudson, Ohio/ Hudson) scored Washington and Lee's first two goals of the season on Saturday afternoon and the Generals never looked back as the cruised to a 5-0 win at Randolph-Macon Woman's College.
Levine's goals gave the Generals a 2-0 lead at half-time. Second half goals were scored by senior forward and the program's all-time leading goal-scorer Karin Treese (Frederick, Md./ Thomas Johnson), sophomore midfielder Courtney Nolan (Princeton, N.J./ Princeton), and sophomore forward Amanda McDermott (The Woodlands, Texas/ Cooper).
The Generals outshot the WildCats 40-1 for the game.
Sophomore Lauren Harris (Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior Stephanie McKnight (Frederick, Md./ Frederick) shared the shutout in goal.
The Generals will open their home season on Thursday afternoon against Hollins, starting at 4:00.
