W&L Drops Emory & Henry, 3-0, in Volleyball

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team pushed its unbeaten streak over ODAC competition to twelve-straight on Tuesday evening by defeating Emory & Henry 15-5, 15-4, 15-7. The win was also the Generals ninth-straight over the Wasps.

Freshman Ricka Hildebrand (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute S. Vigo) led the W&L offensive attack with 12 kills. Fellow classmate Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart) also had nine kills for the Generals. Junior Nancy Reinhart (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart) paced the Generals with 13 digs and sophomore Katherine Kline (Potomac, Md./Holton Arms School) tallied a team-high 17 assists.

The win upped W&L to 14-2 overall, 6-0 in ODAC play, while Emory & Henry fell to 11-8 overall and 3-3 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee will resume play on Thursday, October 8, when it travels to Sweet Briar, Va., to play the Sweet Briar Vixens at 6:30 pm.
