LEXINGTON, VA -- Freshman defender Corri Grant (Signal Mountain, Tenn./G.P.S.) took an assist from freshman forward Leslie Hunt (Baltimore, Md./Towson) and found the back of the net with 6:49 remaining in the game to lift fourth seeded Roanoke College (13-5-1) past number one seed Washington and Lee, 2-1, in ODAC women's soccer tournament action.

Roanoke struck first, when junior forward Katie Slane (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) took an assist from junior forward Melissa Stanhewicz (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield) and slid a shot into the goal with just 3:09 gone-by.

The Generals (11-3) retaliated at the 14:55 mark, when sophomore midfielder Margaret-Hunter Turner (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) scored on a sharply-angled shot that found the upper right hand corner of the goal to tie it up at 1-1. The goal was unassisted.

W&L out-shot the Maroons 6-5 and had three corner kicks as opposed to one for Roanoke.

Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Enright (Dover, Del./Dover) made three saves in goal for Roanoke, while W&L's goalkeeper tandem of junior Stephanie McKnight (Frederick, Md./Frederick) and sophomore Lauren Harris (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hills) each made one save.
