W&L Volleyball Drops Randolph-Macon, 3-0

ASHLAND, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team pushed its unbeaten streak to six Tuesday evening by defeating Randolph-Macon, 15-8, 15-10, 15-8. The Generals have now won 34 of their last 35 regular-season ODAC matches.

Freshman middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart) led the Generals offensive attack with nine kills, 11 digs, and two blocks. Junior outside hitter Nancy Reinhart (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart) had four kills, three aces and 17 digs, while sophomore setter Pam Saulsbury (Ridgely, Md./North Caroline) notched 12 assists.

W&L improved to 16-2 overall, 8-0 in the ODAC while Randolph-Macon dropped to 13-9 overall, 3-3 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee will resume play on Saturday, October 17, when it travels to Towson, Md., to participate in the Goucher Tournament.
