As a member of the athletic training services and sports performance staff, Scifres will provide comprehensive health care services to W&L student-athletes and will work primarily with the Generals' men's soccer, women's basketball and baseball programs.
"Kimber has developed a strong foundation in athletic training through clinical education and experiences across collegiate and secondary school settings," said Joshua D. Williamson, DAT, LAT, ATC, Director of Athletic Training Services & Sports Performance, Head Athletic Trainer and Associate Professor of Physical Education. "What stands out about Kimber is a commitment to student-athlete care, a willingness to learn and grow as a clinician, and the professionalism brought to the field. We are excited to provide Kimber with the opportunity to begin a professional career at Washington and Lee and look forward to supporting continued development as an athletic trainer on our staff."
Scifres completed nearly 680 clinical hours at Colorado College during the 2025-26 academic year, providing athletic training services for volleyball, lacrosse and swimming and diving student-athletes. Responsibilities included injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, injury prevention and return-to-play support.

"I am passionate about building meaningful relationships with student-athletes and providing individualized, high-quality care that supports them both on and off the field. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue growing as an athletic trainer alongside such an experienced and supportive staff, and I look forward to contributing to the culture of excellence within Washington and Lee Athletics."
