Prior to VMI, Forman served as Director of Sports Performance at the University of Colorado from 2013 to 2015, following two years as Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at San Jose State University, where the Spartans ranked 21st nationally in 2012. From 2008-2010, Forman was a strength and conditioning assistant at Stanford, working with football and wrestling. During his final year, Stanford, under Jim Harbaugh, went 12-1, winning the Orange Bowl and finishing fourth in the national polls. He also contributed to the wrestling program's best-ever finish at the 2011 NCAA Championship, placing 11th.
Forman's early experience includes internships with the Detroit Tigers, the University of Southern California, and the University of Notre Dame. He also held positions as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Sacramento State and Northern Arizona.
A former linebacker at James Madison University (JMU), Forman began his strength and conditioning career as a student assistant at JMU. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from JMU and a Master's in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi.
