Professor Colin Reid teaches courses in financial accounting and corporate governance to help students understand how companies communicate and the framework in which business operates. He researches audit and corporate sustainability.

Professor Reid primarily teaches courses in the area of financial accounting. His current teaching focus is corporate financial reporting as well as introductory accounting. He has experience teaching various topics of intermediate accounting. He has also taught corporate governance to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Professor Reid’s scholarship explores the relationship between corporations and various stakeholders including auditors, boards of directors, institutional investors, employees, and others. His work has been published in various academic journals including Contemporary Accounting Research and Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory. His co-authored research on audit team turnover won the American Accounting Association award “Best Paper for a New Faculty Member” for the Northeast Region.
