2012: Competed in three races in her secondseason ... took 58th at the ODAC Preview in 32:56.30 (8/31) ...came in 49th (26:22.00) at the W&L Invitational (9/8) ...finished the Christopher Newport Invitational with a time of28:28.96 (10/13).

2011: In her first year, Ortiz ran in sixcompetitions for the Generals ... finished 33rd in theseason-opening Hornet Cross Country Challenge (9/1) ... ran aseason-best time of 25:43.14 at the Don Cathcart Invitational(10/1).

High School: Earned three letters in crosscountry at Ketchikan ... also lettered three times in basketballand once in soccer ... helped lead the basketball team to aregional championship in 2009 and runner-up finishes in 2010 and2011 ... served as a team captain for the cross country team as asenior ... also served as a basketball captain.
