Brandon Spalding, who joined Washington and Lee in 2013, is in his 14th season as the head men’s cross country coach and assistant men’s track and field coach. He also serves as an associate professor of physical education at W&L.

Spalding has served on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross Country Executive Committee since 2019 as the Division III Men’s Cross Country South/Southeast Region representative. In that role, he contributes to the weekly regional and national coaches’ polls.

He has also served as the ODAC Cross Country Chair since 2015.

Spalding and his wife, Ann-Carlisle, a senior legal assistant at the Washington and Lee University School of Law, reside in Lexington with their son, Dean, and dogs, River and Woody.
