Brian Duclos joined the W&L athletic training staff in July 2018, after two years in the same role at Ferrum College.

At Ferrum, Duclos provided care and injury prevention for 23 athletic teams, primarily serving as the athletic trainer for women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, cheerleading, men’s wrestling, and softball. He also took on additional roles as an adjunct professor in the Health and Human Performance Department and as a volunteer assistant coach for the men’s and women’s cross country teams during the 2017-18 academic year.

Duclos graduated from the University of Vermont in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training. He later earned a Master of Science with a focus on athletic training and higher education from Plymouth State in 2016. During his time at Vermont, Duclos competed on the cross country and track & field teams, receiving America East Academic Honor Roll honors.

From 2012 to 2014, Duclos worked as an athletic trainer at the Williston Center for Chiropractic and Sports Medicine in Vermont. While pursuing his graduate degree, he served as a graduate research assistant at Plymouth State and an assistant athletic trainer at the Holderness School.

Duclos is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer, licensed in the state, and holds additional certifications as a NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist. He is also certified in CPR and AED by the American Heart Association.
