Sam Concannon

Sam Concannon was named Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.
 
Concannon arrives in Lexington after spending the previous four years coaching tennis in Culver, Ind. His coaching experience includes serving as the head coach for the Culver Girls Academy tennis team this past season, while assisting the Culver Military Academy tennis team since 2020.
 
Throughout his time in Culver, Concannon also worked at Transformative Tennis Academy, where he worked alongside various coaches and current and former ATP professionals. His experience includes working with Renee Moeller, an NCAA All-American at Auburn, Ray Sarmiento, a three-time national champion at the University of Southern California, Ronnie Schneider, a three-time All-American at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and Andrew Harris, who earned ATP Top 200 singles and doubles rankings and coached athletes at the French Open.
 
Concannon earned a degree in finance from Case Western Reserve University, while also competing on the Spartans' men's tennis team for three years. Concannon compiled a 67-22 record in singles play, finished fourth in program history in singles wins and fifth in singles winning percentage. He also holds program records for single-season singles wins by a first-year (24) and singles wins through the first two years of a career (53), while being a two-time All-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection.
