Matt Ragovin returns to Lexington to serve as the Interim Head Coach of the Washington and Lee women's golf program for the 2022-23 season.
Most recently serving as the DI University Albany women's golf assistant coach, he spent the past five season in New York heading up the Danes recruiting efforts, assisted with practice plans, coordinating tournament logistics and organized community service opportunities for the women.
On the green, Ragovin helped UAlbany to two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships in 2018 and 2019 and two runner-up performances in 2021 and 2022. The Danes earned a regional bid in 2018 and 2019, following the MAAC Championship Titles.
Prior to working with Albany's squad, he served as a graduate assistant coach for both the men's and women's golf programs at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
From 2014 to 2016, Ragovin served as the assistant coach for both the men's and women's golf programs at Washington and Lee. While working with the Blue and White, the men's squad earned and ODAC Championship, placed third in the NCAA Championship Tournaments and the women received an at-large team bid to the 2015 NCAA Championships and an individual qualifier at the 2016 Championships.
He graduated from McMurry University (Abilene, Texas) with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrating in Kinesiology, Business and Psychology. As a student-athlete, he served as a team captain for three years, received all-conference recognition, and served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Vice President his senior year.
