Brandon Spalding, hired in 2013, is in his 12th season as head men's cross country coach and assistant men's track & field coach at Washington and Lee University. He is also an associate professor of physical education at W&L.

Nationally, Spalding serves on the USTFCCCA Cross Country Executive Committee since 2019, as the Division III Men's Cross Country South/Southeast Region Representative, contributing to weekly regional and national coaches' polls.

Since 2015, he has served as the ODAC Cross Country Chair for his conference peers.
