September 23, 2026

• Senior Jonathan McEwen (Men's Golf) - Senior Jonathan McEwen was named the ODAC Golfer of the Week for the first time this season after turning in a T-18th place finish at the NCAA Preview on Tuesday at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg. McEwen carded a 54-hole total score of two-under par, shooting a bogey free 66 (-5) in round one before following it up with a 68 (-3) in the second round. During a rainy third round, McEwen posted a score of six-over par (77) to finish the tournament at two-under par to secure a top 20 finish in their first event of the season.

September 22, 2026

• L1 Matt Kelly (Men's Cross Country) - W&L Law's Matt Kelly earned ODAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors after leading No. 12 Washington and Lee at the Cardinal Invitational. Kelly completed the 8-kilometer course in 24:36.2 to place fourth overall in a field featuring four nationally ranked teams. His performance helped the Generals place three runners among the top nine and finish fourth in the nine-team field, just one point behind No. 17 Wesleyan.

September 21, 2026

• Senior Grace Mitchener (Volleyball - Off. Player of the Week) - Senior Grace Mitchener earned her second straight ODAC weekly award as she was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Mitchener recorded 39 kills on 103 swings for a .330 hitting percentage, helping lead the team to a 3-0 week. She also added 42 digs, eight service aces and seven blocks including four solo. She posted a match-high 19 kills against Lynchburg to open up league play with two blocks and 12 digs before posting 12 kills against Scranton with four aces, 18 digs and four blocks. She capped off the weekend with eight kills, 12 digs and four aces in their win over Hartwick.
   
• Senior Vivi Vasquez (Volleyball - Def. Player of the Week) - Senior Vivi Vasquez was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Generals to three wins this past week. Vasquez registered 60 digs, averaging 6.00 per set while posting a .920 reception percentage and three service aces. She registered double-digit digs in their wins over Lynchburg (20) and Scranton (31) while recording nine digs and three aces in their sweep of Hartwick.

September 14, 2026

• Senior Grace Mitchener (Volleyball - Def. Player of the Week) - Senior Grace Mitchener earned her first ODAC weekly award of the season after leading the Generals to a pair of wins over Gettysburg and Southern Virginia at the W&L Invitational. Mitchener recorded 37 digs across two matches with a .970 reception percentage, only making one error on 33 attempts. She added two solo blocks and three assisted blocks while recording 17 kills and two service aces. She averaged 6.2 digs per set and 0.83 blocks per set during the weekend. She registered 16 digs against Gettysburg with two solo blocks and one assisted while digging out 21 attacks against SVU with two block assists.

September 8, 2026

• Junior Miles Furman (Men's Soccer - Def. Player of the Week) - Furman posted a strong week in goal for the Generals to open the 2026 season, posting a pair of shutouts in the team's two wins in three games. He made two saves each in a 1-0 loss against Lynchburg to open the season and a 2-0 win at Franklin & Marshall on Friday evening. Furman then made a career-high six saves, five of which came in the second half, to blank Johns Hopkins on Sunday in a 1-0 win. Furman finished the week playing all 270 minutes in goal, 10 saves on 11 shots on goal (0.909) and a 0.333 goals-against average.
   
• Senior Vivi Vasquez (Volleyball - Def. Player of the Week) - Senior Vivi Vasquez anchored the Generals’ defense during the opening week of competition, helping W&L to a 3-1 record. Vasquez registered a team-high 73 digs, averaging 6.08 per set, while posting a .966 reception percentage with just one error in 29 attempts. Vasquez recorded 19 digs in the season-opening win over Greensboro before turning in back-to-back 20-dig performances against Franciscan and Denison. She tallied 23 digs against the Barons and 21 against the Big Red before closing out the opening weekend with 10 digs against Otterbein.
   
• Junior Sam Daunt (Men's Cross Country - Runner of the Week) - Junior Sam Daunt earned his first ODAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honor of the season and the third of his career after placing third at the Virginia Tech Invitational. Daunt completed the 6-kilometer course in 18:21.9, finishing as the top Division III runner in the field behind only two Virginia Tech competitors. He led Washington and Lee to a second-place finish with 53 points, 13 ahead of ODAC rival Lynchburg.
   
• First Year Helenka Chodakiewicz (Field Hockey - Def. Player of the Week) - First-year goalkeeper Helenka Chodakiewicz earned the first ODAC weekly honor of her career after recording 10 saves across two games against top-10 opponents. She made three saves and allowed just one goal, which came on a penalty stroke, in Washington and Lee’s 2-1 upset of then-No. 9 Dickinson. Chodakiewicz also stopped seven shots against No. 4 Christopher Newport and finished the week with a .769 save percentage and 1.50 goals-against average.

September 6, 2026

• Junior Marcus Canton (Football - Defensive Player of the Week) - Junior cornerback Marcus Canton was named the first ODAC Defensive Player of the Week of the 2026 season after a standout performance in the Generals' 13-7 overtime win over Wittenberg University on Saturday afternoon. Canton recorded a career-high 12 tackles including five solo stops with one tackle for loss while also forcing a fumble inside the Generals' red zone to eliminate a scoring chance for the Tigers. Canton and the defense forced three turnovers (two fumbles and an interception) and four punts while holding the Wittenberg offense to seven points.
